Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle TMNT Cake

This was a simple 6 inch round cake for my son turning 4. He basically says he likes TMNT only because of the color green. It is his favorite. In fact, his room is two shades of green. I will add pictures of his TMNT room at the bottom.

I hand painted the Donatello mask. The rest are wall clings.

Baptism Bible Cake

I saw a similar baptism cake when I was searching the Internet for ideas. My girlfriend is always so easy to work with. She pretty much gives me free reign to do what I want for her. She just gives me the theme and says have at it. I love those kinds of requests.

Frozen Cakes

The Frozen movie has become an instant fave this year for many birthday themes to be based on. These are the Frozen cakes I have done so far. And I have a Frozen Fever cake coming up at the end of August.

Smores Cake

A small 6 inch round graham cracker cake sliced in half and filled with a fudge filling. The top is marshmallows and chocolate chips placed under the broiler until a slightly toasted. I frosted the sides with a thin layer of vanilla buttercream frosting and then I added graham cracker crumbs on top of the frosting.

Smores Cake Pops

The way I make smores cake pops is by making a graham cracker cake recipe in a 9 x 13 pan. After it is cooled I chop it up with a flat wooden spatula and add mini marshmallows and mini chocolate chips.  Then I add my frosting to it so when I roll the cake balls they stick and hold together well.

Here are the smores cake balls before getting a stick and dipped.
These were done for a 1st birthday party. 2 of them actually.  I made 6 dozen. Let's just say I am only a wee bit tired.  So I dipped them in pink candy melts first and then I drizzled some white candy melts.
Of course I had to test one our just so you can see inside. I always make sure there are a couple of marshmallows and a couple chocolate chips.
Here is a great side view showing just that. Mmmmm... I love smores!

Goodnight Moon Cookies

My try at decorating cookies with royal icing. Only my 2nd time. I was only requested to do some simple moon cookies but I didn't have a simple cookie cutter in the shape of a moon and the ones I found were small. So I did my own with a daisy cookie cutter.

Scooby Dooby Doo!!!

I was thrilled to be asked to do a Scooby-Doo cake and even more thrilled to have free reign on what to do. So I opted for a 3D Scooby.
The ears, tongue and head are made out of rice krispie treats.
All the details are made with buttercream froating. I try hard to not use fondant or satin ice since not many people care for it
