Monkey Baby Shower Cake

Just over 2 years ago, my very good friend was having her first baby.  We became friends through work and I wanted to make her work baby shower cake.  The inspiration for the cake came from the bedding set that she chose for the baby's room.

I actually made two kinds of cake for this cake.  I did a chocolate half with white buttercream between the layers and a vanilla cake with vanilla pudding (I think that's what I did).  My memory is starting to get away from me.

The cake actually lasted for quite a few days in our breakroom refrigerator.
