This is my most recent piece of art! I made it for a co-worker's wedding shower.
It was 3 layers of white cake with a layer of chocolate mousse and a layer of vanilla mousse. I made chocolate and vanilla ganache to cover the cake and decorate with. Which - decorating with a ganache is not exactly simple. Ganache is meant to be runny and then quickly settle. It's not your typical buttercream frosting. So this isn't as smooth as I would have liked it to turn out but it sure was a big hit. Both the look and the taste!
